Beasley Flat Forest Service Site and River Access

About

The start of the Scenic Section of the Wild and Scenic River Designation begins just upstream of Beasley Flats.

U.S. Forest Service Park site. Turn east off Highway 260 onto Oasis Road, and then right onto Salt Mine Road. Follow for approximately 8 miles to where the paved road makes a hard left to the Camp Verde Acres Access Road (it will be the first left after River Bend Road). Follow main road through the subdivision until the paved portion ends. At the stop sign, turn left – following signage to Beasley Flat river access. Follow the dirt road past the ramadas to the parking area, restrooms and the launch area.

The stretch of Verde River below Beasley Flat is recommended for experienced whitewater boaters only. If putting in at Beasley, be aware that you will be entering a wilderness area with no services (and no cell phone coverage). Be prepared. The “leave no trace” ethic applies.
