Flycatcher River Access Point

About

Flycatcher river access point can be reached off a trail at the end of Flycatcher Road in Dead Horse Ranch State Park (note that Dead Horse Ranch State Park is a fee area). If you are approaching from on-river, one can see the staircase from the trail on the river left. There is a 50-60 yard distance to the river from the parking area and trailhead. This area is recommended primarily for hiking and birdwatching, not as a boating access. The Verde River has a lot of beaver activity downstream of this point, and boaters may often get caught or jammed up in the beaver dams.
