The Pee Dee Land Trust is proud to work with American Rivers and other partners to create the Waccamaw River Blue Trail. Through our collaboration we are connecting people to the Waccamaw through recreation and raising awareness of the value of healthy riverside lands. Our Blue Trail efforts have allowed us to better reach riverside landowners and educate them on the benefits of voluntary land protection. The Blue Trail is a building block for the land-based economy we envision. With a strong partnership of public agencies and national and local conservation groups, the Waccamaw is retaining, rather than losing, its wild character.
